What Else Turning On A Light Can Teach You
So if turning on a light can teach to appreciate everything in our lives right now so that we are deserving of everything we want, and if it can teach us that the greatest of lessons are in the most simple things in our lives, what else can turning on a light teach us? As I have said before, the little things in your life like this can teach you everything you need to know to realize the life of your dreams, and I could spend the next 20 years writing lessons on what turning on a light can teach us. However, you will have to take the time to think about most of the lessons for yourself, right now, in this article, I want to cover what turning on a light has to teach us about belief.
The first thing we need to start with about how turning on a light can teach us about belief is that lightbulbs need electricity to make them work. The question still remains about what electricity is exactly. No one knows actually what electricity is. We have come a long way in being able to harness it and make it work for us. We can measure it. We can use it. We can even feel it, thought I don't recommend doing so. But we have no idea what it is or even how it works exactly. Do you know what it is or how it works? I don't know, and I don't care. All I am worried about that if I flick the switch in my kitchen that the light comes on. I am sure that most of you out there are the same way. But here is where the belief comes in. Do you believe that when you flip the switch that the lights will come on? Sure you do, as long as your not behind on your bill or someone hasn't hit a pole, you believe it will come on.
Do you ever question whether it will come on or not, as long as everything is normal? No. You don't stand there by the switch thinking, "man, I sure hope this works!" You simply walk into the room, turn on the switch, and go about your business. Not even a thought comes to mind on whether it will work or not. You believe completely, without a doubt, that electricity will run through the wires and turn on the lights. So here is the question of the day. If you can put such belief, such faith into something that you have no idea about, why do you have so much trouble having that same belief in yourself and in acquiring what you want? Why can't you simply turn the belief switch in your head to on about what you want as easily as you turn on the lights? I believe that the answer to this is no easy asnwer, thought it is a very simple answer. Programming.
From little on up we all learned that if we flip the switch the lights came on. We were never taught to question it. We watched other people turn on the lights, and when we got big enough, we did also. There was never a doubt put into us that the lights wouldn't work. Yet for some reason, much of our society continues the doubt about success and whether everyone is deserving of what they want. There is a programming that starts when we are little about failure and our ability to live a life full of happiness and joy and in having everything we want in our lives. We must banish this way of thinking. We must learn to believe that success at anything and wealth in all areas of life is as simple as turning on a light and is as sure to happen for us as the bulb will throw off light when we flip the switch.
Thomas Edison failed literally thousands of times while trying to create the light bulb. Not once did he believe the was going to fail. He is quoted with having said that he didn't fail, but found 10,000 ways that it did not work. He knew he would find the answer. His only concern was whether or not he would find it first, and he did. We must develop a level of belief and commitment in ourselves and in what we want that equals his belief in his ability to invent the lightbulb. We must believe as deeply in our success and wealth as we do about the light coming on when we flip the switch. We never question whether or not the light will turn on, so we must also never question whether or not success is ours for the taking. It is ours for the taking, if you will only reach out your hand, believe in your heart of hearts, and take it.
